Panama registers 234 new cases of covid-19 and 4 deaths in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, Panama registered 234 new cases of covid-19 and 4 deaths, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), Sunday, 11 April.
With these figures, Panama accumulates a total of 358,611 infections of covid-19 and 6,163 deaths due to this disease.

The case fatality rate is at 1.7%.

5,445 tests were carried out in the last hours to detect covid-19. Positivity remains at 4.2%.

The epidemiology report of the Minsa also indicates that to date there are 4,217 active cases of covid-19 and 348,231 recovered patients.

Of the total active cases of covid-19, 3,740 patients are isolated, of them 3,543 in their residences and 197 in hospital hotels.

477 patients are hospitalized, of which 414 are in the ward and 63 are in intensive care units.
