The Minsa details that Panama accumulates 471,253 COVID-19 infections and maintains 2,324 active cases.
The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa ) of this October 22 highlights that in Panama there have been 193 new cases of
COVID-19 , which brings the accumulated infections to 471,253.
The report also details that in the last 24 hours there have been 3 new deaths, increasing to 7,306 deaths from this new
coronavirus in the country. The lethality of the virus is 1.5%.
So far, 461,623 people have recovered from this virus and active cases are set at 2,324.
From this last figure, it stands out that there are 2,044 people confined to their homes, while another 91 are staying in hospital hotels.
While in hospital wards there are 156 confined patients and 33 remain in intensive care units.
In the last hours in the country, some 7,637 tests have been carried out, and a percentage of positivity of 2.5% remains.
