The Ministry of Health informed that for this Monday Panama does not report any deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health (
Minsa ) reported for the second consecutive day in Panama there have been no deaths due to
COVID-19.
Minsa adds that in the last 24 hours a total of 268 new
coronavirus infections have been recorded, after performing 5,358 new tests and the positivity rate is 5%.
With this new figure, the accumulated cases in the country have increased to 371,145.
On the other hand, 1 death from previous dates is updated, there are a total of 6,297 deaths and the country maintains a fatality rate of 1.7%.
The
Minsa adds that a total of 302 patients remain hospitalized in the ward due to the
coronavirus and 61 are in intensive care units.
In addition, some 5,367 cases remain active, of which 4,735 remain in isolation at home and 269 are in hospital hotels.
For this Monday, May 17, the epidemiological report reports that approximately 359,481 people have recovered.
