This Tuesday, July 13, Panama received a new shipment of the vaccine against covid-19 developed by the pharmaceutical duo Pfizer / BioNTech.
This is the twenty-third batch of Pfizer's covid-19 vaccine to arrive in Panama.
According to the Ministry of Health (Minsa) this new batch will reinforce the immunization day that will begin this Wednesday, July 14, by sweeping circuits 6-1 that include the townships of La Arena, Llano Bonito, San Juan Bautista, Monagrillo and Chitré head, and for which 9 vaccination centers will be enabled.
The vaccination day will also begin in the 7-2 circuit that includes the districts of Los Santos, Macaracas and Tonosí, where 41 vaccination centers will be enabled.
The Minsa also recalled that the use of the Pfizer vaccine was authorized in people over 12 years of age, a day that will begin this Wednesday in patients with chronic diseases or with disabilities in the Juan Díaz district, in the provinces of Herrera and Los Santos, while the other week starts in Don Bosco.
The entity reiterated to citizens to schedule their vaccination appointment through the platform vacunas.panamasolidario.gob.pa, option web appointments.
