Panama adds 672 new cases of COVID-19 this Thursday, September 17, which brings the total number of infections to 104,138, according to the Ministry of Health.
There were also 15 new deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from
coronavirus to 2,213 , which represents a case fatality rate of 2.1%.
According to the epidemiological report, of the active patients 22,756 are in home isolation and 405 are confined in hotels; while another 883 are hospitalized (731 in ward and 152 in intensive care).
To date, Panama reports a total of 77,881 clinically recovered patients.
The
Minsa indicated that in the last hours 5,355 tests were carried out, for a percentage of positivity of 12.5%.
