Panama Metro: Urban planning project on Line 2 is in its final stage
The urban planning project includes the expansion of pedestrian sidewalks, street and pedestrian lighting in the vicinity of the stations, among other adjustments.
The works of the urban planning project that are being carried out on Line 2 of the Panama Metro have advanced at a good pace and are in their final phase.
The Panama Metro , SA informs that the works at the Brisas del Golf, December 24 and Nuevo Tocumen stations are currently 91% complete and are expected to be completed in July.
On the other hand, the urban planning work at the Cincuentenario, Cerro Viento and San Antonio stations were fully concluded since last April; and at the moment it remains in the substantial reception of the work, leaving some pending that are currently being taken care of by the contractor.
The Panama Metro details that the urban planning works for Line 2 include the expansion of pedestrian sidewalks, road and pedestrian lighting around the stations, storm drainage system, road improvements, among other adjustments.
"It is important to highlight that both projects on Line 2 seek to provide a better physical appearance to allow users to comfortably access the Metro facilities," said El Metro de Panamá.
