Panama Metro informs that it will operate until 10:00 pm from Monday, September 14
The Panama Metro announced that in view of the new measures that will be implemented from this Monday, September 14, in which mobility restrictions by gender are eliminated, they will adjust their operating hours from Monday to Friday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
While on Saturdays they will operate from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Sundays they will continue to be closed due to quarantine.
Metro management indicates that as they observe the behavior of demand throughout the system, the return to regular operating hours will be evaluated.
It was reported that all the Metro stations are operating on a regular basis and that to guarantee 40% of transport capacity, the entrance controls to the stations and trains are maintained through the turnstile area.
Although we were not designed to avoid crowds, it is important that users make the Self-Care Guide a habit, since we are a mass passenger transport system, they must try to travel in silence, use a mask; in addition to a face shield and always use alcohol gel to clean hands before and after using the system, indicates the Metro on the biosecurity measures that have been implemented.
Until Friday, August 4, 29% of the demand handled before the pandemic was mobilized on the Metro network (400,000 passengers during working hours). Currently, with the opening of new economic sectors since September 7, this demand has increased by 15%.
