With 635 new cases of Covid-19, Panama exceeded 99,000 accumulated cases reported on Wednesday, September 9, by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) in its daily report.
Since the first case of the new
coronavirus was registered in the country, on March 9, the figures from the
Minsa specify that 99,042 confirmed infections have been accumulated.
In the last 24 hours 4,851 tests were applied and the 635 new cases represent a positivity of 13%.
In addition, 9 new deaths were recorded for a total of 2,116, while the case fatality is at 2.1%.
According to the report, 71,419 patients have recovered.
25,507 active cases remain.
The Ministry reports that 24,231 people are in home isolation, of which 23,855 are at home and 376 in hotels.
In addition, there are 1,276 hospitalized patients, of which 1,142 are in the ward and 134 in intensive care.
