Health personnel who are on the front lines of the battle against covid-19 in both public and private hospitals, as well as bedridden elderly and nursing homes are immunized against this disease, according to the Ministry of the Presidency.
Stage 1A of phase 1 of the ongoing vaccination strategy against
covid-19 has been completed.
The vaccination process for people included in this phase of the strategy was resumed on February 17 after the arrival in the country of the second batch of
Pfizer's 67,860-dose
vaccine.
To date, more than 59,600 doses of the
vaccine from this pharmaceutical company have been applied in the country.
Now, with the arrival of the third batch with more than 77,000 doses, the vaccination process of stage 1B of phase 1 will begin, which includes health workers not prioritized in stage 1A, essential groups in the front line of the Public Force, the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), the Meritorious Fire Department and the Red Cross.
Also included in this stage are the population over 16 with disabilities certified in the Senadis until December 31, 2020 and bedridden, as well as the toilet authority.
