A total of 6,412 vaccines against covid-19 have been applied since the arrival of the first 12,840 doses of Pfizer in Panama, as detailed by the digital vaccination meter enabled by the Government Innovation Authority (AIG).
The vaccination process began on January 20, a few hours after the arrival of the
vaccine, and immediately medical groups denounced that the personnel who provide direct care to patients with
coronavirus are not being prioritized , and instead doses have been applied to personnel with less risk of contagion.
Panama's goal with this first batch was to vaccinate 6,420 people.
The vaccinometer was enabled from January 22 to monitor the application of
vaccines in real time.
