"We are waiting for the confirmatory studies to be approved," said the Minister of Health.
The Minister of Health of Panama, Luis
Sucre, made reference this Thursday to the possible placement of a third dose of anticovid
vaccines, noting that the country is advancing the steps and contacts to have access to it if it becomes necessary.
However, he clarified that they are waiting for the approval of the application of that third dose by the different international organizations.
"We are waiting for the confirmatory studies to be already approved by international organizations such as the FDA, the CDC, the World Health Organization, once they tell us that it can be formally accessed and a third dose can be applied. Rest assured,” said the head of the Ministry of Health.
He added that if approval is given, the third dose would be vaccinated against
COVID-19 first for citizens who have some type of immunodeficiency disease, an immune problem.
