The Minsa highlights that in the last hours 338 new infections of COVID-19 were registered and 3,966 active cases remain. 7 deaths were reported.
The epidemiological report for this Saturday, April 24, highlights that some 338 new cases of
COVID-19 have been registered in Panama, bringing the accumulated infections to 362,696.
The Ministry of Health (
Minsa) also details that in the last 24 hours there have been about 7 new deaths, increasing to 6,207 deaths from this new
coronavirus in the country. The case fatality rate of the virus is 1.7%.
So far some 352,523 people have been recovered from this virus and active cases are set at 3,966.
From this last figure it stands out that there are 3,406 people confined to their homes, while another 196 are staying in hospital hotels.
While in hospital wards there are 302 confined patients and 62 remain in intensive care units.
In the last hours in the country, some 8,769 new tests have been carried out to detect
COVID-19, which have yielded a positivity of 3.8%.
