Panama reports 326 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths in 24 hours

Panama reported the detection of 326 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, which increased accumulated infections to 350,991.
The Ministry of Health (Minsa), in the daily epidemiological report, indicates that there were 2 new deaths, which raised the total number of deaths to 6,044 from coronavirus.

The virus maintains a case fatality rate of 1.7%.

As for those recovered, the number increased to 339,565 and it was added that on active cases these are currently at 5,382.

Regarding this statistic, it is detailed that 4,446 are confined to their homes and 219 are housed in hotels.

Regarding ward hospitalizations, it was revealed that 618 patients are incarcerated and another 99 are in intensive care units.

In the last 24 hours in the country, 5,029 new tests have been carried out, which yielded a positivity of 6.4%.
