Pan-American Highway reopens near Loma Cová

Repairs were being carried out at dawn and the concrete was emptied in the section that leads to the interior of the country.
From 10:00 am on Saturday, October 2, the lanes were enabled on the Pan-American Highway. At dawn repairs were being carried out and the concrete was emptied in the section that leads to the interior of the country, in order to return to regular traffic in the area.

The maintenance chief of the Ministry of Public Works, Zacarías Álvarez, reported that the concrete is in optimal condition. "Now the population can go inland and towards the capital city without major problem," said Álvarez.

This was the second stage of repair on the Pan-American highway, the whole process began on Tuesday, September 28, after the collapse of a 90-centimeter metal pipe that caused a subsidence and therefore affected the rolling carriageway on the road, at the height of the 7 de Septiembre neighborhood in Loma Cová.

Similarly, the Ministry of Public Works ( MOP ) announced that different crews of the ministry will carry out decoration and improvement work in both directions on the Centennial Bridge road.
