The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) confirmed through its website that Panama will receive this Tuesday, May 11, a new batch of the COVID-19 vaccine from the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.
The PAHO report reveals that some 74,400 doses are currently in transit, which are scheduled to arrive in the country at 4:45 pm in Panama City.
It should be noted that currently in Panama these doses are being placed on people (men over 30 years old and women over 50 years old) who sign up as volunteers in the App https://astrazeneca.fluyapp.com/.
Panama received a first batch of the AstraZeneca vaccine on April 16, consisting of some 36 thousand doses, which have been applied to volunteers in the Vaccination 20-30 installed in the Rommel Fernández Stadium premises.
