Over 700 speeding tickets were issued during a road safety operation
The DNOT of the National Police has imposed 710 violations for speeding, 32 for talking on a cell phone and 22 for DUI.
A total of 1,736 infractions imposed by the National Directorate of Traffic Operations (DNOT) during the road safety operation carried out in the last 24 hours.
Of the total fines, 710 were for speeding, 32 for talking on a cell phone and 22 for proven intoxication, among other penalties.
While a total of 136 people, including 103 men, 29 women and 4 minors, were detained in different parts of the country, for failing to comply with the curfew.
The authorities add that in operational actions carried out in the last 24 hours, 132 people were apprehended, 75 by official letter, 30 by administrative offenses, 14 in flagrante delicto and 13 by micro-trafficking.
