New restrictive measures began to apply in various sectors of the country

Shops must close one hour before curfew. According to the Minsa, these measures were implemented due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

Starting this Monday, June 21, various sectors of the country will implement new mobility measures, announced by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Panama.

Panama and West Panama

After the constant increase in COVID-19 cases, as of this June 21, Panama Oeste, the Pacora sector in Panama East, and all the townships of Panama North (Ernesto Córdoba Campos, Chilibre, Alcalde Díaz, and Las Cumbres), will have a curfew from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am from Monday to Sunday, so shops must close at 9:00 pm.

Veraguas

In the province of Vergauas the curfew will be maintained from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am, and the total quarantine will remain on Sundays, without working hours or mobility that will include from Saturday at 10:00 pm until Monday at 4:00 am.

From this Sunday, June 20, a Sunday quarantine was implemented in the Atalaya district.

While in the district of Las Palmas the quarantine measure will be lifted and curfew will be from 12:00 pm to 4:00 am.

Cocle

The curfew is implemented from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am, and the closing of businesses at 9:00 pm, starting today.

Since yesterday, June 20, a Sunday quarantine was implemented in the Aguadulce district, without working hours or mobility from Saturday at 10:00 pm to Monday at 4:00 am.

Colon District

From this Monday, the curfew will be from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am, from Monday to Sunday, only in the district of Colón. The closing time of shops will be 9:00 pm.

Herrera and Los Santos

As of today, the curfew will be from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am, and the closing of shops will be at 9:00 pm.

Ocú, Los Pozos, Pedasí and Pocrí are excepted from these measures, which will maintain the curfew from 12:00 am to 4:00 am.

Chiriqui

In Chiriquí the measures remain. The curfew is maintained from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am from Monday to Saturday, as is the quarantine on Sunday. The closing of shops will be at 9:00 pm.

The districts of Tolé, San Lorenzo, and Remedios are excepted from these measures, where the Sunday quarantine is lifted and the curfew is relaxed, which will be from 12:00 am to 4:00 am.
