Panama received this October 12 a new batch of the
vaccine against
covid-19 developed by the American pharmaceutical company
Pfizer, with 97,110 doses.
This is the thirty-eighth batch of the
Pfizer vaccine that arrives in Panama for the immunization process at the national level.
Not including this new shipment, Panama has received 7,696,830 doses of the
vaccine against
covid-19, indicated the Ministry of Health (
Minsa).

According to a report from the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) to date, in Panama there is 75% of the population with a complete immunization scheme against
covid-19.
The EPI report details that 5,625,697 doses of the
vaccine have been applied nationwide, of which 4,874,952 are from
Pfizer and 750,745 from
AstraZeneca.
The
Minsa reiterated that people who are already vaccinated follow biosafety measures such as the use of a mask, face shield, alcoholic gel, hand washing and physical distancing.
