Taboga is one of the booming tourist areas in Panama City. They ask for greater citizen awareness to avoid the pressure that this activity may have on their ecosystems.
According to the mayor of the Taboga district, Magaly Ricord, during the cleaning three areas of public use of the island were impacted, being the sectors of Aspinwall, the central part of the island's beach, and El Jobo beach. Spaces in which about 50 volunteers were deployed.
It was learned that in Taboga they maintain a series of activities of this type in order to generate a roadmap that allows generating alliances with the community towards the sustainable development of the island.
