More than 200 drivers sanctioned in the last 24 hours in Panama
During the last 24 hours, the National Directorate of Traffic Operations (DNOT), sanctioned 212 drivers during the "Road Safety" operation, which is carried out nationwide.
The DNOT detailed that they have placed 607 infractions of which seven (7) were for proven drunkenness, another seven (7) for talking on a cell phone, one for alcoholic breath, speeding, among other offenses.
According to article 141 of the Traffic Regulations, there are three levels to measure the impact caused by the consumption of liquor through the breathalyzer or guarometer .
Penalties for driving while intoxicated include license and vehicle retention. In addition to the payment of the fine depending on the recurrence of the violation, that is, for the first time the license is suspended for 3 months, the driver is also responsible for paying the crane costs and the corral fee.
