The deputy commissioner of the Chame Police Zone, Edgardo Gordón indicated that between Wednesday and noon this Thursday more than 160 vehicles had been returned from the El Lago de Capira sanitary fence, which intended to go to the interior of the country.
Gordón explained that on Wednesday, December 23, the day the fence was installed, 132 vehicles and 305 people were returned; While until noon on Thursday, December 24, 37 vehicles and 93 people were returned, who could not justify their transfer.
The deputy commissioner indicated that the vehicular movement for this Thursday was less crowded at this checkpoint that seeks to mitigate the contagion of
COVID-19 with these interprovincial transfers.
The traffic authorities ask the population that does not have justification for moving to the interior of the country or to the capital, not to try to cross the fences unnecessarily and to the drivers who do have their passports or permits to carry the documentation by hand and be patient.
