MOP closes a lane of the Pan-American highway in Loma Cová due to subsidence

The MOP Maintenance Directorate ordered the closure of the affected lane and will proceed with the repair this Tuesday, September 28.

A lane of the Pan-American Highway, at the height of Loma Cová, in the direction of Panama City has been closed after the sinking of the same was reported.

The Ministry of Public Works ( MOP ) reported that the closure is being carried out to carry out the repair work of the damages registered near the 7 de Septiembre neighborhood, in Arraiján, this after they have been evaluated.

"The MOP Maintenance Directorate ordered the closure of the affected lane and is preparing for the repair work from the early hours of this Tuesday, September 28," said the MOP.

Faced with this situation, the entity calls on drivers to make the necessary provisions or to use the Centennial Bridge while the repair work is being carried out.
