This new resolution leaves the extension, according to the months of expiration of the permits, as follows:
A. Those that expired in March will be valid until August 31, 2020
B. Those that expired in the month of April, will be valid until September 30, 2020
C. Those that expired in the month of May, will be valid until October 31, 2020
D. Those that expired in the month of June will be valid until November 30, 2020
In addition, the new ministerial resolution modifies the third article and establishes the scheme of return to customer service to carry out procedures corresponding to labor migration in the Employment Directorate and in the Regional Labor Directorates.
This indicates that since June 22, 2020, the suitable lawyers will be able to carry out the following procedures in person: marriage interview appointments and taking photos for paid cards (corresponding to notified work permit resolutions).
Also from July 17, the suitable lawyers will be able to carry out via the web: lawyer registration, case request, online notification, payment through "link payment" (payment flyer printing options of the National Bank of Panama or payment through credit or debit cards), issuance of a digital work card and presentation of reconsideration resources.
And from July 31, all formalities for the presentation of the initial application and the extension of the labor migration work permit will be carried out through the Panama Digital platform.
Queries can be made by email migration-laboral-consultas@mitradel.gob.pa and for online procedures, you can enter through the Panama Digital web platform www.panamadigital.gob.pa, within the available procedures of the Mitradel.
The ministry indicates that for face-to-face procedures, appointments should be requested through the portal www.mitradel.gob.pa, through "Appointments for Labor Migration".
And finally, this ministerial resolution modifies the fourth article and extends until November 30, 2020 the validity of the documentation provided to each file that has expired during the period from February to November 29, 2020.
