Mitradel extends the validity of work permits and orders the reopening of employment terms
Through Resolution No. DM-004-2021 published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, the Ministry of Labor (Mitradel) establishes that the validity of the work permits that originally expired in the period between the months of October 2020 to February 2021, it will be extended until April 30, 2021.
In addition, the reopening of terms within the national employment directorate and the regional labor directorates is ordered and other provisions are issued.
Likewise, the documentary validity of the Social Security Fund (CSS) forms, corresponding to the months of February and March 2020, is extended until June 30, 2021, only to be provided as evidence within the application for extension of permits that are presented to the National Employment Directorate.
These documents must be submitted together with the CSS form, corresponding to the month immediately prior to the submission of the extension request.
The resolution adds that as of January 18, 2021, an appointment must be requested through the Mitradel portal https://www.mitradel.gob.pa/ , to carry out the face-to-face management of procedures in the Department of Labor Migration of the National Directorate of Employment.
Also, as of that same date, inquiries from the Department of Labor Migration of the National Employment Directorate must be made through the email email@example.com.
