The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) denies versions about the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19 made through intermediaries.
This time, it was very clear that there are global standards according to which negotiations for the acquisition of anti-
COVID-19
vaccines have to take place only between States and manufacturing companies, without the participation of any intermediary, says the
Minsa in a statement.
Information from the Ministry indicates that it is impossible that in Panama there has been some type of negotiation, for the acquisition or distribution of
vaccines , in which a particular company had participated.
It is noted that the National Government on behalf of the Panamanian State, from day one and before the
vaccine manufacturers, the negotiations for these purchases have been carried out only by senior officials of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It should be noted that the Republic of Panama has signed formal agreements with these organizations linked to
vaccines against
COVID-19:
AstraZeneca,
Covax,
Johnson and
Johnson and
Pfizer.
