The Minsa explained that the hotel payment procedures are carried out through the Special Procedure for Emergency Acquisitions.
The Ministry of Health (
Minsa ) of Panama reported that it advanced the management for the payment of the months of January and February of this year to the hotels contracted for the accommodation of patients with
covid-19.
According to the
Minsa, the Golden Tower Hotel completed the process for the collection of the first two months of the year.
While a payment was made to the Oriental Hotel in 2021 and the collection process for another month was advanced and a payment was canceled to the Crown Hotel and the procedures to cancel another pending account are advanced, said the
Minsa.
The entity explained that the payment procedures are carried out through the Special Procedure for Emergency Acquisitions, which requires that the expense be registered and authorized, for its management according to the agreed and established procedure.
Regarding the period between the months of March and June, the
Minsa indicated that the process of documentation and formalization of the departure request had just been completed, as established in the norm, for which the disbursement was authorized to cover the period described and the The request was sent to the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
Regarding the month of July, the
Minsa indicated that the documentation process to submit the request for authorization of the funds for their cancellation is culminating.
