Minsa restricts use of mask with valves

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Panama restricted the use of KN95 masks with valves.
The entity reported in a statement that the use of valve masks will only be allowed to people who keep doing physical activity.

Masks with built-in valves filter the air that enters the inside of the mask and that the person inhales, but does not filter the air that is exhaled, explained the Minsa.

The intention of the mask is not to allow the microdroplets of saliva to go out into the environment and can contaminate other people, taking into account that there are asymptomatic people who do not know they have the virus and can contaminate, the statement said.

According to the Minsa, the simple three-layer surgical mask has so far proven to be the most effective for traveling outside the home.

Minsa recommends buying the boxes and reading the general ones that guarantee that the purchased product will provide you with biosecurity.
