Health Minister Luis Sucre said that there is a slowdown in new cases of covid-19 in Chiriquí, which is why it was decided to lift the Sunday quarantine.

"There has been a significant slowdown in the presentation of new cases and that is why we are able to announce that as of Sunday, June 27, the total quarantine of Sundays will be lifted for the entire province of Chiriquí," said the Minister

Sucre indicated that the curfew measure will be maintained from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and trade open from Monday to Sunday until 9:00 p.m. in the districts of David, Bugaba, Dolega, Barú, Tierras Altas, Alanje, Boquete and Boquerón.
While in the districts of Remedios, Renacimiento, Gualaca, San Félix, Tolé and San Lorenzo, the restriction measures are relaxed and the curfew changes from 12:00 am to 4:00 am as of Monday, June 28.
Sucre stressed that these measures will continue to be evaluated every week.

However, in the districts of Santiago, Atalaya, Soná and La Mesa, the total quarantine of Sundays will continue without working hours or mobility and a curfew from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
