Minsa establishes a total quarantine from December 25 to 28 and January 1 to 4

The Ministry of Health of Panama decided to toughen circulation measures given the increase in COVID-19 cases in the country, and record numbers in the ICU patients.

The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, announced a total quarantine from December 25 to 28, 2020 and from January 1 to 4, 2021, as a measure to stop the advance of the coronavirus in the country.

He explained that the total quarantine will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday 25 and will end at 5:00 am on Monday, December 28; and the second quarantine will be from 7:00 pm on Friday, January 1 to 5:00 am on Monday, January 4.

Meanwhile, as of December 18, a new curfew and dry law schedule will take effect: from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Currently, the curfew is from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am.

He said that government entities will work with up to 50% of officials on alternate days.

In addition, from 5:00 pm on December 23 to 5:00 am on January 4 they will establish sanitary fences. These will be located in La Pesa de La Chorrera, Divisa, La Villa, Chagres, Viguí, among others.

The Minsa ordered supermarkets to receive one person per family, with the exception of being accompanied by a minor or person with a disability.

Airports, ports and borders will remain open.

Sucre reiterated that the meetings of more than 10 people are still suspended. And he announced that they will bring doctors from the United States, Mexico, Venezuela and Cuba, to reinforce the health personnel.

Supporters of lockdowns and 'quarantines' are detached from reality. You cannot destroy your entire society, i.e. the economy, in a futile effort to save the weakest and most vulnerable from an infection over which you are exercising NO EFFORT TO CONTROL. Tell me, how free and available are hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin? Both are cheap and EFFECTIVE in both prophylactic use and early infection treatment, yet both are still discouraged throughout most of the 'developed' world because the point of this plandemic is to terrify everyone into accepting a DNA-altering 'vaccination' that will form the basis of surveillance and control. It will not be a 'one and done' it will be an ongoing process that we have no control over and will ultimately be required for any type of participation in 'life' such as it may be at that point. We are in WW3, folks. The weapons are silent. Ignorance is humanity's weakest link in this war. Lack of courage is the second weakest link. Man up and do some independent research beyond the propaganda being force fed to you by the TV and other mainstream official news sources. Your life depends on it.

In my opinion the restrictions don’t go far enough and will not achieve anything. The average infection rate has increased to over 2000 a day in recent weeks, but more crucially the number of patients in ICU has also increased to 197 today, the highest is has ever been. This puts enormous pressure on the provision of health services and is used in many countries to set the level of restrictions.
It seems completely illogical to start a lockdown at 7:00 pm on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Everyone will take advantage of that and the damage will be done. The total lockdown should start on Christmas Eve at the latest and continue until after the New Year to be effective. MINSA has got its priorities completely wrong and will cause more damage and not achieve its objectives.
