After the circulation of a web link with the registration form for the application of the COVID-19 vaccine, the Ministry of Health of Panama clarified that this corresponds to phase four of the inoculation plan.
Once the priority population has been vaccinated, the application of the
vaccine to the rest of the population will begin.
The priority population is considered to be adults over 60 years of age who are bedridden, in nursing homes or family homes; health personnel; cleaning staff; and people with disabilities (over 16 years old).
Just hours after the estimated date of arrival of the first batches of anti-
covid vaccine in Panama was announced, the link to https://vacunas.panamasolidario.gob.pa/vacunas/ began to circulate through messaging services and social networks. which leads to the form where people interested in getting vaccinated, and who are not part of the priority population, must register.
Panama will receive the 40,000 doses of the anti-
covid vaccine developed by
Pfizer and
BioNTech in the week of January 18-25.
