MICI evaluate support mechanisms for restaurants, bars and grocery stores in Panama and Panama Oeste

The Minister of Commerce and Industries (MICI), Ramón Martínez reported that they are evaluating support mechanisms for the segment of groceries, restaurants, bars and canteens in the provinces of Panama and Panama Oeste.
During a meeting with representatives of the aforementioned associations, Martínez indicated that they understand the needs of the various sectors and as a Ministry we are in constant conversation involving the health authorities, to achieve a balance between health and economic reactivation and that an effective reopening can be made for them.

He exhorted merchants to continue working as a team and thus "seek better opportunities for all."

It should be noted that businesses in the two provinces demand that the National Government allow them to open their businesses for next February 1 under the same biosecurity measures and capacity established on September 28, 2020 when they opened after months of closing operations by decision of health authorities.
