The public transport company of Panama Mi Bus informed through a statement about the new occupancy scheme in the bus fleet as of Monday, September 7, the day on which new reopening will take place.
Following the ATTT's provision to authorize the maximum passenger capacity to 60% (of the design capacity), Mi Bus maintains the maximum occupancy of up to 55% of passengers, that is, 45 users in orange buses and 44 in blue buses, advances this information.
Following recommendations from the Ministry of Health (
Minsa), Mi Bus indicated that they will mark with an "X" those seats that cannot be used to maintain the necessary spacing.
It also explains how these positions should be filled:
- Only the seats next to the windows will be used, disabling the seats facing the aisle.
- The seats at the end of the bus can be used interchangeably.
- Users who are standing should keep their distance.
- The seats behind the driver will remain disabled.
My Bus invites its users to follow the mitigation measures for the spread of
COVID-19 in order to reactivate the country's economy.
