Meduca suspends classes in 15 schools in the Ngäbe-Buglé region due to landslides

Meduca reported that Sinaproc and MOP are coordinating actions to carry out landslide repair work in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca.
From this Monday, October 18, classes in 15 schools in the Ngäbe-Buglé region will be temporarily suspended due to landslides and road deterioration, reported the Ministry of Education (Meduca).

Meduca indicated that there has been a landslide at different points on the road that connects San Lorenzo with Boca de Monte to Soloy, Besikó and the Quebrada Tulivieja sector, so the decision was made to temporarily suspend classes to avoid putting in risk to students and teachers.

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) and the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) have taken coordinated actions to carry out repair work.

Once these works are completed, Meduca said, students will be able to attend classes.
