Man sentenced to 32 years in prison for raping his two stepdaughters

A man was sentenced to 32 years in prison for aggravated rape and lewd acts against two girls aged 6 and 13.
The Trial Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama sentenced a man to pay a penalty of 32 years in prison for the commission of the crimes of aggravated rape and aggravated libidinous acts to the detriment of two girls aged 6 and 13 years registered from April 2017 to July 20, 2018.

According to the Public Ministry (MP), through the Trial Assistance Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office they were able to present the elements of conviction, after the man repeatedly committed libidinous acts through intimidation and violence and obtained sexual access with his stepdaughters.

In the Oral Trial that took place on March 19, 22, 23, and 24, the Public Ministry was represented by prosecutors Yamileth Pimentel Castañeda and Ixenys De Roux, who proved with testimonial and expert evidence the guilt of the 51-year-old man years of age, detailed a statement from the MP.

The defendant was established as an accessory penalty disqualification from public functions for a term of 15 years, after serving the main prison sentence.
