"I feel super good" Cortizo said upon leaving the educational center, after completing the observation time.

President Laurentino Cortizo was given the first dose in this same educational center on March 9, when Panama was one year after registering the first case of COVID-19.

According to the health authorities, the progress of this plan is subject to the number of vaccines that arrive weekly in Panama, from the different pharmaceutical companies.

Panama has firm agreements with Pfizer, AstraZeneca and with the Covax mechanism to continue with the vaccination against COVID-19, and began procedures to acquire the Russian vaccine Sputnik V.

Currently in Panama, about 500 thousand doses of vaccine against COVID-19 have been applied nationwide.
