Judge grants 'El Tachi' probation, Public Ministry appeals
El Tachi was detained by units of the National Police in March 2017, after a firearm was found in his car.
A Compliance Judge granted probation to Eustacio Fidel Guerra Saldaña, known as El Tachi , who is serving a sentence for illegal possession of a firearm.
On May 14, a Compliance Judge decided that El Tachi would continue to be detained, in a hearing in which he was informed about the activities that he carries out.
The Compliance Section of the Metropolitan area appealed this decision and the appeal hearing was scheduled for July 19 at 10:30 a.m.
El Tachi was detained by units of the National Police on March 29, 2017, after a firearm was found in his car.
Subsequently, El Tachi accepted the facts for the crime against collective security in the form of possession of firearms, and the main penalty of five years in prison was imposed and the prohibition of carrying firearms was suggested as an accessory penalty.
The singer was benefited with community work in the Puerto Caimito Community Board, for a period of 120 weeks, at a rate of 8 hours a day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, however it was revoked in June 2018 after non-compliance with the prohibitions imposed at the time the penalty replacement was granted.
