This afternoon the management of the Hospital del Niño reported that it approved, after the request of the patients, that they continue to see all those patients who have an assigned date for their appointment, regardless of the specialty in the Outpatient Clinic, except Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery.
In a statement, the Hospital indicated that it was also decided that no new appointments will be scheduled until further notice.
Meanwhile, surgeries that are urgent or inpatient will take place on a regular basis, while all elective surgeries will be rescheduled.
These new measures seek to provide a response to our patients, however, we request the support of the population to respect the health measures that have been established within the hospital, aimed at reducing the chain of contagion by
COVID-19, advices the notice.
To mitigate the contagion of the
coronavirus, the authorities of this hospital suggest the recommendations for those who are patients and their families, and advise them to attend 30 minutes before the time in which they have been summoned, wear a surgical mask, maintain physical distance and respond to the instructions of the institution's customer service personnel.
Compliance with these measures contributes not only to reducing the spread of the infection, but also to guaranteeing our physical and human resource capacity to attend to patients who come with an emergency or illness that requires hospitalization.
