The National Civil Protection System ( Sinaproc ) issued a rain prevention warning, due to two low pressure systems located on the Isthmus of Panama.
The warning, which runs until Thursday, July 8, is for the low pressure systems over the Caribbean sector of Colombia and the West Pacific of Costa Rica, passing through the Panamanian territory.
In addition, for this Tuesday little cloud coverage is expected over the country, which is why a greater incidence of solar radiation is expected and with it extreme ultraviolet radiation indices, between 11 and 12, with an exposure time of 10 minutes.
In previous days, Sinaproc explained that these are typical rains of the season and recommended that the population follow the rules of the authorities and rescuers in general:
- Be aware of the updates of the meteorological warnings and bulletins that the Directorate of Hydrometeorology issues about the weather conditions.
- Avoid carrying out any activity outdoors, in the presence of electrical activity.
- Take precautionary measures and reminds them that under bad weather conditions there may be flooding of tributaries or streams, gusts of winds, frequent or occasional electrical activity.
