Floyd’s First Foray Into Outdoor Furniture Is a Ray of Summer Sunshine

Floyd’s First Foray Into Outdoor Furniture Is a Ray of Summer Sunshine

The Detroit-based furniture brand Floyd is extending its offerings outside for the first time.

Direct-to-consumer furniture company Floyd has earned cult status for its durable, stylish bed frames, tables, and sofas-and its brand-new outdoor collection offers versatile and weatherproof pieces that are at home in any space.

The square outdoor table and chairs in the color Midnight Blue are the perfect additions to small patio areas. The pieces are extra durable, meeting contract-grade BIFMA standards.

The bench can serve as a dining bench, a welcoming front porch seat, or a thought-provoking resting place in the garden.

Designed in collaboration with Brooklyn-based design studio Uhuru, the collection includes a bench, table (available as a square or rectangle), and stackable chairs. The made-to-last pieces are constructed from aluminum and powder coated in four classic colorways: Citrine, Jade, Midnight Blue, and Off-White. They share a timeless silhouette that is strong without being bulky, and elegant without being fragile.

The collection is entirely water-resistant and slatted, so that no rainwater ever collects.

The table (seen here with the chairs in Midnight Blue) is available in two different sizes—perfect for intimate spaces or larger parties.

Floyd’s outdoor chairs (seen here in Jade) are stackable and easy to stow away when not in use.

Inspired by the streamlined design of industrial piping and conduit systems, The Outdoor Set explores dynamic curves to optimize comfort. You can shop the collection below, or by visiting Floyd’s website here.
