Electrical failure reduces production of the Chilibre water treatment plant to 50%

Technical staff assesses the situation and it is expected that sectors high and far from the network in the capital and San Miguelito could be affected without potable water.
The National Aqueducts and Sewers Institute of Panama (Idaan) reported this afternoon that an electrical failure affected the Federico Guardia Conte water treatment plant, located in Chilibre, reducing its potable water production by 50%.

Once the incident occurred, the Idaan mobilized technical personnel to verify the damage and its extent.

So far, the entity announced that it is expected that sectors high and far from the network in the capital and San Miguelito could be affected without the water supply.
