East Hampton Backyard in Morning Light

East Hampton Backyard in Morning Light

I love this stunning outdoor living oasis East Hampton backyard. How one family took their empty backyard & turned it into the yard of their dreams.

AN EAST HAMPTON BACKYARD

Their home is incredible, don’t even get me started on that. We only have time to talk about the backyard today. Originally, Anne’s backyard was an empty lot with a giant tree in the middle. After a year or two of living in the house and thinking it over, they decided to remove the tree and create a more functional backyard for their family (they have two active happy kids with who have lots of active happy kid friends).

After the tree was removed and the pool was put, in the backyard was unrecognizable. It’s as overnight their backyard turned into a home from a magazine spread. Besides the pool, they also added a pool house, terrace, garden, assorted seating, potted plants, and magnificent pool umbrellas.

Just look at this stunning pool corner. The large navy and white umbrella really bring the space together and create a color palette for the yard. In addition, the treeline creates some gorgeous filtered light.

One of my favorite little corners is this tucked away seating area. It the perfect spot for morning coffee or an afternoon tea with friends. The teal cushions really make the white table pop against the greenery.

This spot with the rattan swing is easy to miss if you are paying enough attention, but lucky for me I was touring every inch of this backyard. The array of plants, flowers, and greenery is simply breathtaking. Not to mention reading a book in this cozy swing chair.

I’m in love with these blue and white umbrellas, so I had to share a picture with three of them in a row. The umbrellas are really the standout items in this yard; they pull everything together. Another reference to teal is made here with the potted planters.

The pool is just stunning. Photos don’t even do it justice! I enjoyed getting to wander their backyard and learn more about the process of how they did it. It was so great to spend the weekend with Anne and catch up. I will be dreaming about her backyard for weeks! It is so serene and peaceful – yet perfect for entertaining. They sent me some photos recently of a dinner party they were having on the lawn and it looked like a resort.
