The relaxation of the curfew measure begins to take effect as of this Monday, April 5, throughout the Republic of Panama.
In Executive Decree No. 261 , the new hours are established from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am from Monday to Sunday, with the exception of the days of total quarantine established by the Executive Branch in some areas.
In addition, the document indicates that public beaches, rivers and spas can be accessed from Monday to Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Similarly, it establishes the operation of all businesses already authorized until 10:00 pm.
The decision to extend the curfew hours arises after the inter-institutional task table in which the ministries of Health, Commerce, and Labor and the Social Security Fund participate, evaluated the request of restaurant owners by virtue of seeking the facilities that generate a better economic recovery.
"The new measures are adopted based on the latest epidemiological reports of the
MINSA, but preserving the biosafety guidelines in order to contain the spread of the
COVID-19 pandemic and following the scheme established by the National Government," said the Presidency of the Republic.
