The Institute of Geosciences of Panama (IGC) reported on the record of two earthquakes about 16 minutes apart in the border area with Costa Rica.
The report indicates that the first movement occurred at 9:20 am in the Laurel de Corredores sector, in
Costa Rica; about 22 kilometers deep and was of a magnitude of 4.8 (MLv).
While the second earthquake was 3.4 (MLv), it occurred at 9:36 am and had a depth of 20 kilometers.
So far the IGCP report is preliminary and it is unknown if the earthquakes caused any structural damage.
