Panama reports 480 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths in the last 24 hours

Panama registers for this Tuesday, August 24, a total of 480 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, with which the accumulated number of cases rises to 453,466.
The total number of deaths increased to 7,018, after accounting for 3 new deaths.

The Ministry of Health ( Minsa ) reported that the fatality rate of COVID-19 in Panama remains at 1.5%.

To date, a total of 8,686 cases remain active, of which 238 are in hospital hotels and 8,066 remain in isolation at home.

The epidemiological report details that it adds that a total of 279 patients are currently hospitalized in the ward, while 103 remain in intensive care units.

On the other hand, the Minsa indicates that 437,762 people are reported who have recovered from COVID.

The Minsa points out that it adds that in the last hours 8,866 new tests have been carried out to detect COVID-19 and the positivity rate is 5.4%.
