The Vice Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, reported this Wednesday that a decree will be issued so that as of May 8 the Dry Law imposed by the declaration of national emergency for the coronavirus pandemic will cease to apply.
Sucre indicated that they are concluding the coordination phase with the Ministry of Security and the businesses to implement the lifting of of the ban.
He explained that the amount of alcoholic beverages that each person may acquire will be limited, and will be exclusively for home consumption.
All kinds of meetings and the consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads are prohibited, he warned.
" We have taken this measure when we see the commitment of the majority of the population, so we are counting on it to be adopted responsibly, " said the deputy health minister.
