Domingo Díaz highway closed due to the assembly of the ITSE station footbridge
Metro de Panamá, SA reported that the total closure at Inadeh will be in both directions, starting at 10:00 pm on Friday, April 30.
As part of the Branch project of Line 2 of the Panama Metro , from 10:00 pm on Friday, April 30 until 6:00 am on Saturday, May 1, the second assembly of the footbridge / pedestrian bridge will be carried out of the Station Specialized Higher Technical Institute (ITSE).
The Metro de Panamá, SA reported that for this, it will be necessary to completely close Ave. Domingo Díaz, at the height of the National Institute of Professional Training and Training for Human Development (Inadeh), in both directions.
According to the Traffic Management Plan (PMT), approved by the Traffic and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT), the alternative routes established are:
Towards Tocumen from Ave. Domingo Díaz:
Drivers should take the access to the South Corridor located about 50 meters after the Technological University, Tocumen headquarters. Continue along the South Corridor until the exit that gives access to Boulevard Aeropuerto. Continue on Boulevard Aeropuerto until you join Calle Aeropuerto that leads to Tocumen.
They may also choose to head towards Tocumen from the Pan-American Highway, taking the ear of the South Corridor that leads to the Hotel Riande Aeropuerto.
Towards the city center:
Take “Calle Aeropuerto in the direction of Terminal 2 of the Tocumen International Airport, to enter the South Corridor in the direction of Tocumen. Once on this road, you can continue to the Pan-American Highway or use the exit to Avenida Domingo Díaz adjacent to the ITSE, where a return to the city center will be enabled ", indicated the Metro de Panamá SA
Internal route to the city center:
For those who prefer to opt for internal routes, at the roundabout known as La Morelos they should take Avenida José Agustín Arango (Belén) and continue directly past the communities Las Mañanitas and Pedregal, until exiting Ave. Domingo Díaz.
Residents of neighboring communities such as Puertas del Este or Torremolinos will maintain existing access to their residential areas, taking into account the restrictions and temporary routes established.
