Decree promulgated to make curfew more flexible in the districts of Panama Oeste and Chiriquí

The flexibility of measures arises from the reduction of COVID-19 cases at the national level. They ask the population not to lower their guard.
In the Official Gazette, Executive Decree 856 was promulgated, which makes the curfew more flexible in areas of Panama Oeste and Chiriquí.

As of Monday, October 11, the curfew will be lifted in the districts of San Carlos and Boquete. This measure of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Panama arose due to the reduction of COVID-19 cases .

On the other hand, in Colón, Chame and Barú, the provisions of Executive Decree 843 will continue, which establishes a curfew from 1:00 am to 4:00 am from Monday to Sunday.

The Minsa, together with the security bodies, will ensure compliance with the established biosafety measures.

To date, Panama reports 468,545 cases of COVID-19, of which 2,781 remain active; 7,259 have died and 458,505 patients have recovered.

They ask the population not to rule out biosecurity measures to mitigate the coronavirus such as the use of masks, frequent hand washing and physical distancing.
