For the purposes of ensuring compliance with the provisions of this Executive Decree and in order to ensure the curfew and total quarantine measures, the health authority, with the collaboration of the security forces, maintains, among others, the following health checkpoints:
- Herrera Province: Currency sector;
- Los Santos Province: La Villa district;
- Province of Colón: Chagres sector;
- Chiriquí Province: Viguí sector.
As from February 15, 2021, in the province of Herrera, in addition to those activities contemplated in article 5 of Executive Decree No. 65 of January 28, 2021, the following activities may operate:
- Retail Trade in person;
- Beauty salons and barber shops;
- Centers for Comprehensive Early Childhood Care (CAIPIS).
For such purposes, establishments must keep service to 50% of their capacity, including their employees, to avoid crowds in internal or external areas, as well as on their premises and comply with the biosafety guidelines described in Resolution No. 405 of May 11, 2020 and the Health Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
It should be noted that for the reopening of the Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Centers (CAIPIS), the regulations provided in article 3 of Executive Decree No. 66 of January 28, 2021 must be applied.
It is also established that as of February 15, 2021, the hours to access the beaches, rivers and public spas will be from Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the provinces that have total quarantine weekends.
In the other provinces, the hours to access the beaches, rivers and public spas will be from Monday to Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The activities carried out on the beaches, rivers and public spas must comply with the regulations set forth in article 3 of Executive Decree 71 of February 5, 2021, except for the schedule.
It is highlighted that during the curfew and total quarantine, in this Executive Decree, the institutions, people, activities and companies provided for in article 12 of Executive Decree No. 62 of January 13, 2021.
Regarding the use of the social areas and swimming pools of the horizontal property (PH), neighborhoods and residential properties, the use of these will be allowed with a capacity of 25% of their capacity and maintaining the home bubble.
While in the quarantine period, hotels may make use of the open social areas and swimming pools, provided that they comply with the sanitary guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
Both the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Public Security bodies and the Joint Task Force, will ensure compliance with the measures established in this Executive Decree.
