December 24 and Arraiján head again lead the townships with the most cases of Covid-19
The townships of December 24 and Arraiján head again top the list of townships with the most cases of Covid-19 disease, according to the report from the Ministry of Health (Minsa) 9 August.
In the last hours, according to the Minsa, on December 24, 42 new cases of people infected with Covid-19 have been reported.
December 24 is followed in second place by the town of Arraiján, where health personnel detected 32 cases in the last hours.
The health authorities detailed that in the last hours there have been 30 new deaths due to Covid-19.
The Minsa report highlighted that 841 new cases of infected with the new coronavirus have been reported throughout the country on Sunday, August 9.
The Minsa explained that 22,464 people are reported home isolation, of which 21,837 are at home and 627 in the so-called hospital hotels.
There are 1,641 hospitalized and 1,484 of them are in the ward and 157 are in intensive care units.
In the eastern sector of the province of Panama there is also the third district with the most cases. On this occasion they were detected in Tocumen with 29.
With 28 cases the village of Pedregal, in the district of Panama, ranks fourth and the fifth is Vista Alegre, in the district of Arraiján with 27 infected people.
As can be seen in this report, East Panama and the Arraiján district area is where the concentration of cases of people infected with the new coronavirus prevails.
