The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) this Thursday reports that some 16 new deaths from COVID-19 were registered in the country, which brings the accumulated deaths from the virus to 1,948.
While the infections of the new
coronavirus rose to 89,982, after 900 new cases were detected after the application of 4,326 tests in the last 24 hours.
The report indicates that in the country the number of recovered was updated to 63,996; while there are 24,038 active cases.
Of these active cases, some 22,105 people are confined to their homes and another 421 have been accommodated in hospital hotels.
Regarding hospitalizations in wards, there are 1,355 patients admitted and about 157 are confined in intensive care units.
